Welcome to Templeglantine! The village of Templeglantine is located on the N 21 from Limerick to Tralee five miles south-west of the primary town in the area, Newcastlewest. Templeglantine parish was created in 1864 following the transfer of Fr James O'Shea to Rathkeale. Fr O'Shea had been parish priest of Monagea, of which Templeglantine was a part until this change occurred. The number of people in the parish is around 1,000 at present.
